Wachs Water Services has seen an average initial water main valve operability of only 60% in more than 500,000 inspections nationwide. This means that 40% of valves are inoperable for a variety of reasons such as they cannot be located, accessed or opened/closed. The good news is that utilities are raising their valve operability to as high as 97% with the support of Wachs Water Services and we want to help additional utilities determine their operability and benchmark their system against the industry. We will send an experienced field crew and equipment for a one month program to your utility, which will locate, assess and undertake minor repairs on up to 500 small diameter water main valves. The tangible program data will give you a better understanding of your systems' operability, benchmark ranking, and provide accurate information for your GIS system.
